Hereworth Parents' Association
The HPA is simply the parents of the School community getting to know each other, supporting the vision and values of Hereworth and serving to enrich our students, parents, staff and community.
It is built on whakawhanuangatanga (relationships), manaakitanga (hospitality, kindness and generosity), ratonga (service) and our School motto of Non Nobis Solum (not for ourselves alone).
What do we do?
The HPA meet twice a term to connect, share ideas, plan and action events. We connect and liaise closely with the headmaster Matt Allen and the Old Boys’ & Girls’ Association.
Friend raising: an opportunity for parents to get to know each other and get involved in the School community through the HPA meetings and social events
Fundraising: every year the HPA schedules and runs events either alongside or in partnership with the Old Boys’ & Old Girls’ Association as well as School events. Your participation makes these events happen.
Fundraising is all about benefiting our students, the staff and our community. We aim to raise money for the ‘want to have’ items around the school to enrich the education and social well-being of the students.
We also support local charities with donations from our Mothers' and Fathers' Day events. In the last year these have been made to Jammies4June, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Raukatauri music therapy.
