New to the Hereworth Calendar is the 'midterm break'. This one-week holiday will take place in the middle of the term, giving our students a welcome week off to recharge after what is always an action-packed start to each term.

We’ve seen the success these short holidays have on energy levels, attentiveness and attendance at other schools around New Zealand, and we are excited to see how it positively affects our boys and girls.

However, if you or your child are looking for activities to keep them engaged during this week, then our staff have some options available for you.

All Day Care - Monday 3 to Friday 7 March

From 8am to 3pm each day, our 'After-School Care' team will be running a full day of crafts, outdoor play and games for students in Years 0 - 6. Mrs Hanaray and Mrs McKay have created a full week of excitement for your child, based on the theme of 'Sea Week'. 

Where - The Hereworth Performing Arts Centre, from 8am to 3pm each day.

Cost - $40 per day. If you book all 5 days, you will only be charged for 4 days. Additional siblings are half-price. 

What to bring - A packed lunch and a water bottle. Afternoon/Morning tea will be provided.

Cricket Holiday Programme - Monday 3 to Wednesday 5 March

If your child is interested in improving their cricketing skills over the midterm break, then join us for our first-ever Cricket Holiday Programme. Created by our Cricket Academy Coach Bayley Wiggins, this course will take place in our brand new Sports Centre, and will have your child catching, batting and bowling like never before.

You can sign up for one, two or all three days, depending on your child’s interest. No matter what you choose, this is a fun way to keep our future Black Cap cricketers involved with the bat and ball.

Where - The Hereworth Sports Centre from 9am to 3pm each day.

Cost:

Cricket Academy Members - $72.50 per day

Non-Academy Members -  $85 per day.

What to bring - A packed lunch, morning/afternoon tea, togs, towel, hat, a drink and any medication needed.

Tennis Holiday Programme - Thursday 6 & Friday 7 March

The tennis courts are the place to be in the final two days of the midterm break, as our Tennis Coach Janine Perkinson has created a Tennis Holiday Programme on Thursday and Friday, packed full of activities and fun for students in Years 4 - 8.

Students can sign up for one or two days, and coaching will take place on both the outdoor tennis courts and inside our brand new Sports Centre

Where - The Hereworth Tennis Courts/Sports Centre from 9am to 3pm each day.

Cost:

If your child already receives coaching at Hereworth - $72.50 per day.

Non-tennis coaching - $85 per day.

What to bring - A packed lunch, morning/afternoon tea, togs, towel, hat, a drink and any medication needed.
